We had an awesome dinner here recently. Our booth was comfortable. The dining room lighting set a romantic vibe. Our waiter was personable and gave great recommendations. We started with a sushi roll. The sea bass, filet and lobster mac and cheese were incredible. We also ordered a half order of the red velvet cake to-go and it was delicious. We portioned out 8 servings! We can't wait to come back.

Be ready for Sinatra music, celebrities, and wildly good food. Be ready to spend big bucks. Be ready to be blown away if you go all out. This is one of the only restaurants I've been to where you can get a Wagyu beef flight - which we did. Started off with the Japanese smashed cocktail which was great, but at $38? Come on! The fried calamari was fantastic and you can tell they batter it in house, no frozen funny business here. Served with a roasted garlic aioli which had lots of deep garlic flavor and traditional marinara. The steak tartare was shredded almost into a paste-like texture with a strong beef flavor and some pickled onions on top. The quality is there with no need to be hidden behind any mustards or pickles. For the mains we did something completely unconventional and to celebrate a special occasion, ordered the 4 most expensive wagyu filets to split: Miyazaki, Ohmi, Snow Beef, and Kobe. It was a culinary experience all on its own. Salted and charred to a beautiful medium rare. Each slightly different but melt in your mouth. Meat doesn't get better than this. Period. The 4 filets pictured were $860, so again, totally unconventional from the regular steakhouse cuts. We split two half portion sides, the duck confit Mac and cheese which was rich, creamy, and small amounts of shredded duck mixed in. The second side was the king crab elote corn salad which is a unique and standout side, one of the best I've ever had at a steakhouse. It's creamy, spicy, and has a great Smokey char from the corn. To cap off the meal we split a half size slice of carrot cake. Big, dense, not overly sweet, perfectly executed with fresh fruit on top and a scoop of super creamy vanilla ice cream. Service start to finish was excellent, with our waiter being very knowledgeable about the cuts and extensive menu. Nick & Sam's made my first trip to Dallas unforgettable, and I hope to be back someday.

We shared the porterhouse steak which was amazingly delicious and the ribeye . Pork chop was a little dry.

Even with reservations, expect to wait a while to get seated. We ordered calamari and caviar to start but the steak and surf n turf was the star of the show. Pricey but worth it. The ambiance wasn't as romantic as I thought, it's pretty loud inside. Overall, the food is delicious and well worth the wait.
